I use a crossfading plugin that's great. But for dee jaying it would
be nice to pause while a song is fading and have it automatically pause
at the end of the song. Then cue up the next song for when you're done
talking.

Brilliant!

Made my question look pretty stupid:) I tried a few plugins but didn't
really get what I wanted. I did find that Ctrl-V does exactly what I
want and it's built into Winamp already.

Now if someone can help me get my USB microphone to work within Winamp
I would be thrilled.

At some point with WinAmp 2.x, their API provided a mechanism to cause
WinAmp to stop playing after it completed playing the current track. I
wrote a plugin called "geninfowriter" that has a button to invoke that
functionality. Unfortunately when WinAmp "stops after the current
track", it doesn't update the current song pointer to the next song,
so you have to skip to the next track and then hit the play button,
but the functionality may be of use to you.

Doesn't the USB mic show up in Winblow's sound controller as an input?
If not, why not get a regular switched mic and wire it to the input on
your sound card?
